SUMMARY:NCPPRC — Centerfire Steel Match
DESCRIPTION:Match DescriptionTargets are primarily reactive steel\, such as spinners\, poppers\, swingers\, movers\, and plates. Shooters will engage targets out to 550 yards. Emphasis is on precision and speed\, shooting from a variety of challenging positions and props. \n\n\n\nOur matches incorporate the following: \n\n\n\n\nPositional Shooting\n\n\n\nMultiple Targets\n\n\n\nShooting from various props\, including barricades\, fences\, enclosures\, simulated rooftops and vehicles\, etc.\n\n\n\nHold overs and hold unders.\n\n\n\nTime pressure.\n\n\n\n\nWhenPlease check our calendar for current dates. Registration is from 7:30 am to 8:00 am. The Safety Brief starts promptly at 08:00 am. Attendance at the Safety Brief is mandatory. If you are late for the Safety Brief you will not be allowed to shoot. This event is limited to 40 shooters. The Course of Fire (COF) is posted in our forum prior to the match. \n\n\n\nWhereSacramento Valley Shooting Center\, Range 6 (Silhouette range). \n\n\n\nCostNCPPRC Members: $20.00Non-Members: $35.00 \n\n\n\nPrerequisitesOpen to all shooters at least 18 years of age legally able to own a firearm. \n\n\n\nEquipment \n\n\n\n\nBolt Rifle with optics in 6mm to 30 caliber and maximum muzzle velocity of 3100 fps.\n\n\n\nTactical rifle scope with ranging reticle and elevation knobs.\n\n\n\nDope sheet with distances out to 550 yards.\n\n\n\nAmmo – approximately 75 rounds\, but can vary with the COF. \n\nNo Full Metal Jacket\, Steel Core\, or Armor Piercing rounds allowed. Check our forum for up-to-date information.\n\n\n\n\n\nHearing protection (Electronic amplifying models strongly suggested).\n\n\n\nEye Protection.\n\n\n\nEmpty Chamber Flag.\n\n\n\nNote taking gear.\n\n\n\nSome sort of pack to carry all your equipment/gear in.\n\n\n\nShooter may use any other accessory as long as it is carried through the duration of the match.\n\nShooter must complete the match with the same rifle you started with.Pack wisely since all gear will need to be with you on the firing line at all times\, but will not be required to be carried during a course of fire.\n\n\n\n\n\nElbow pads\, knee pads\, and good foot wear strongly suggested.\n\n\n\nWater and snacks.

SUMMARY:NCPPRC — 2025 Intro to Long Range Shooting Clinic
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wanted to learn from some of the top shooters in NorCal? If so\, then bring your gear and join us at Sac Valley Shooting Center @ Range 12.Clinic Cost : 165.00 for full day course. \nIt will be a full day of learning and shooting\, also catered lunch/drinks included with some swag. \nNorCal’s Long Range Clinic is a perfect opportunity for new or experienced shooters to gain knowledge and gather data needed to successfully engage targets out to 1000 yards. \nOur goal is to coach and help you get on target out to 1000 yards\, as well as implement or tune your fundamentals of marksmanship. \nThe shooting distances will be from 200\, 300\, 500\, 600\, 800\, 900\, and finishing at 1000 yards. You will have a dedicated coach to provide guidance at each distance. Shooters will take turns shooting and pulling targets. \nRound count : 100 rounds if or zero/reshoot .(You will have enough to re test if needed ) \nCalibers 6mm to 338caliberNo speed limit ( please have chrono data for reloads or factory ammo ) \nWe recommend:*Long sleeve shirts (no mats are used)*Rifle with solid 100 yard zero*Sling*Bipod*Rear bag tab gear or game changer (ask if you don’t know type )*Backpack*Sunscreen /Hat*Safety glasses and ear pro are mandatory.*factory ammo need velocity off box mfg and bullet weight* reloads will need chrono data and bullet type weight \nNo Carts will be used and you will be required toWalk from pits to 1k with all gear and back to the pits.It is recommended to wear solid hiking boots and appropriate cloths for weather . \nWe look forward to having all the new shooters on the line ..
